Never mind the level of competition. The Aggies went years without a shutout prior to 2015, and now Chief's unit has put up two in five games. There is plenty of room for improvement, but all signs continue to trend positive for the Aggie defense.

• Second shutout in five games, 205 yards of total offense allowed, 42 total yards after halftime, a 33% completion percentage by Panther QB Trey Green, 32 net yards rushing and 5-of-20 on third- and fourth-down. Yeah, I'd say it was a pretty good day for John Chavis' defense, with the starters and second- and even third-teamers getting the job done.
