The 2016 Aggie defense has been a resurgent force, at times carrying the team through offensive struggles. Saturday was a different story, but key stops and turnovers kept a struggling, heavily-worked unit from an SEC loss.

• Seven turnovers and seven-hundred yards. I'm sure John Chavis was pretty conflicted with the results on Saturday, outside of getting the win, of course. On one hand, Chief challenged his troops to produce turnovers and take the ball away from the Vols, and the Aggies did so in record-setting fashion, forcing SEVEN in one game, six of which were what I'd consider of the 'forced' variety.
