Three days ago, the Aggies were the fourth-ranked team in the country with a fifth-year senior quarterback and generational leader carrying a veteran group on his shoulders. Texas A&M entered a game at Mississippi State with national title hopes.

Now, those title aspirations are long gone after a disappointing, 35-28 loss Saturday in Starkville.
