Behind Gilder and Williams, A&M keeps Missouri at bay in 76-73 victory

Maybe the Aggies took their struggling opponent lightly. Or they played down to their competition. Perhaps they just relaxed too soon.

Whatever the explanation, Texas A&M (13-10, 5-6) posted a closer-than-it-should’ve-been 76-73 Southeastern Conference basketball victory over Missouri (6-17, 1-10) before 8,632 on Wednesday night at Reed Arena.

A&M, which beat LSU last Saturday, frequently opened up 8-, 9- 10- and 11-point leads only to let them slip away.
