Texas A&M escapes low-scoring affair with Alabama, 56-53

Texas A&M needed a win over the Crimson Tide to keep its postseason hopes alive and got won on Saturday night with a win over Alabama. Tonny Trocha-Morelos came up with a block with 1.3 seconds left to preserve the win.

Several times on Saturday night, the Reed Rowdies unfurled a banner and directed “One More Year” chants at Robert Williams. They might have to be content with getting one more win.

Williams posted his 10th double-double, hit two clutch free throws and snatched a key steal  down the stretch to propel Texas A&M to a 56-53 Southeastern Conference basketball victory before 9,661 at Reed Arena.
