Making the Grade: Ron Cooper educating, improving A&M secondary

Texas A&M defensive backs coach Ron Cooper brought a strong pedigree with him to College Station. By teaching his players to understand the game on a deeper level, he hopes to add the Aggie secondary to his long list of triumphs.

A lot of factors go into playing good football in the secondary, and new Texas A&M secondary coach Ron Cooper will grade them all.

Cooper revealed that he makes “factor grades” for each player. Those grades are based on how an individual fares on passing and running plays in which he is directly involved.
