Top pick Myles Garrett, A&M Coach Kevin Sumlin thrilled by Browns selection

Though Myles Garrett played his last game in maroon and white in December, the Texas A&M star made more history for the school on Thursday, becoming the first Aggie to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. Garrett and coach Kevin Sumlin reacted after the pick.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, as expected, flashed an ear-to-ear smile when, as expected, the Cleveland Browns made him the first overall selection in the National Football League draft on Thursday night.

The draft was held in Philadelphia, but Garrett watched it with family and friends in Arlington, his hometown. When the pick was announced at his draft party, Garrett stood up from a couch and hugged his mother as friends and family cheered and applauded.
