Texas A&M trades blows with Arkansas, comes out on top in wild finish

Texas A&M and Arkansas threw a lot of punches in a thrilling game in Arlington on Saturday, and the Aggies found themselves standing when the dust settled. According to Kevin Sumlin and the A&M players, the calming presence of the Aggie veterans was the key to victory.

ARLINGTON — Arkansas coach Bret Bielema did not feel the impulse to punch A&M’s Kevin Sumlin today. Perhaps that’s because he’s learned a hard lesson.

The Aggies are just too adept at landing counter-punches against the Razorbacks. Once again, they landed jabs, crosses hooks and haymakers and knocked out Arkansas, 50-43, on Saturday.
