The Aggie offense got off to a slow start against the Hogs but opened things up in the second quarter and beyond. Texas A&M racked up over 500 yards of total offense and got big plays from veterans and newcomers alike.

• The Aggies started things off very slowly offensively. To open the game, A&M was forced to punt on three of four possessions, and Kellen Mond was picked off three plays into the Ags' fifth drive. Kellen did hit Christian Kirk for an 81-yard, quick-strike touchdown on Possession No. 2, but even that came on a broken play during which the freshman QB and veteran receiver both adjusted and showed great creative chemistry.
