Coming off of huge tilts against top-ranked Alabama and the Gators in The Swamp, the Aggie defense has proven it's SEC ready. After some early struggles against Florida, the unit was dominant in the second half, with key contributions from veterans and newcomers alike.

• The Ags staggered into the locker room a little bit after Florida's Lamical Perine capped off a 140-yard Gator rushing effort by bulling his way through several A&M tacklers en route to the end zone with under two minutes remaining before halftime. John Chavis' defense wasn't necessarily reeling and had only surrendered 10 points, but Doug Nussmeier's offense was finding running room and an enormous Gator offensive line was getting the best of the battle up front.
