A rash of suspensions left Texas A&M without four projected starters but gave the Aggies a chance to see what the bench could do in a lopsided exhibition win over Tarleton State. T.J. Starks led A&M with 21 points in the victory.

The 25th-ranked Aggies got a glimpse into their basketball future — their distant future — on Friday night. In a  72-46 exhibition basketball victory over Division II Tarleton State, the Reed Arena crowd of 6,267 likely got a better look at what to expect next season rather than this upcoming one.

Projected starters Robert Williams, Admon Gilder, D.J. Hogg and J.J. Caldwell are sitting out suspensions of various lengths.
