Aggies just spinning their wheels in too familiar late season slide

Texas A&M and head coach Kevin Sumlin have spent the last several years trying to explain an inability to get traction late in the season. Mired in a growing 2-8 hole against the SEC in the month of November, the way out for the Aggies is clear. It's time for a change.

When the wheels are just spinning, you can push, pull, shove or tug in an effort to gain traction. Sometimes, though, you just have to change the tires.

That time has come at Texas A&M.

After the Aggies’ 42-27 football loss to Auburn on Saturday at Kyle Field, it is abundantly clear there just isn’t any tread left on coach Kevin Sumlin’s six-year tenure in College Station.

Once again, the Aggies (5-4, 3-3) have gone flat after a fast start.
