On Tuesday, embattled Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin said he expected to return as the Aggie football coach next season.

“Why wouldn’t I?” Sumlin said when asked if he expected to return after a fifth consecutive season in which the Aggies (7-4) have managed eight or fewer regular season victories.

Speculation is that Saturday’s game against LSU could be Sumlin’s last as Texas A&M head coach.
