Seventh-ranked Aggies drop hard-fought game to Arizona, 67-64

Texas A&M took the talented Wildcats down to the wire but was unable to make shots when it mattered most on Tuesday. Tyler Davis lead the Aggies with 21 points in the loss, but the rest of the team struggled to shoot the ball.

Locked in a tight struggle for this first time this basketball season, Texas A&M couldn’t hit — or miss — when it mattered most. As a result, the No. 7 Aggies (7-1) suffered a 67-64 loss to Arizona in the Valley of the Sun Shootout in Phoenix.

Trailing 65-62 with two seconds remaining, Duane Wilson was fouled attempting a three-pointer that just rimmed out. He went to the foul line with a chance force overtime with three free throws. However, he missed the first.
