On Saturday afternoon, Texas A&M played up to its lofty status as the nation’s No. 7-ranked basketball team.

For about seven minutes.

Through the other 33 minutes, the Aggies missed dunks, made bad decisions, committed too many turnovers and were generally lackluster.

But during an approximate seven-minute span in the second half, the Aggies launched an 18-0 run to pull away from stubborn Prairie View A&M and went on to take a 73-53 victory before 7,804 fans at Reed Arena.
