Texas A&M holds off No. 8 Auburn's late surge, wins 81-80

TJ Starks led the way with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting as the Aggies won their first road contest since November 26. Tyler Davis and Rob Williams combined to score 31 points and dominated the paint for the majority of the game as A&M handed the Tigers their third loss of the season.

A Duane Wilson free throw with 3.5 seconds remaining was just enough to lift Texas A&M to a stressful 81-80 Southeastern Conference basketball victory at No. 8 Auburn on Wednesday night. The Aggies still had to sweat out a final Auburn shot, but Mustapha Heron’s deep three-point attempt at the buzzer came up short.
