Fisher, Aggies see opportunity, challenge in upcoming spring scrimmage

On Saturday, fans will get a first look at Jimbo Fisher's first football team in Aggieland, and while the head coach wishes he had more time to prepare, he sees the Maroon and White game as an opportunity to show off his program and learn more about his team.

As Texas A&M nears its allotted 15th spring football practice, coach Jimbo Fisher now knows what his teams needs.

Fifteen more practices.

That’s what Fisher jokingly said the Aggies needed after a Wednesday practice in which they continued to drill extensively on specific situations.

“I wish we had about 15 more days. Then we’d have a chance,” Fisher said. “One more spring and we’d be good. We’re really starting to pick those things up.
