In their first true test of the season and of the Jimbo Fisher era, the Aggies refused to back down and came within a failed two point conversion attempt from tying the game in the final minute. Kellen Mond threw for over 400 yards and solidified his hold on the QB job.

Kellen Mond threw two touchdown passes in a furious fourth quarter rally but could not complete a final attempt on a vital two-point conversion, and Texas A&M’s upset bid of second-ranked Clemson came up short, 28-26.

A 1-yard Travis Etienne touchdown run staked Cemson to a 28-13 lead and appeared to put the Tigers in control with one minute left in the third quarter.

Instead, Mond quickly led the Aggies downfield for a 14-yard touchdown throw to Quartney Davis.
