Texas A&M comes up short after halftime surge from the Gators, 81-72

The night was looking good for the visiting Aggies, as they took an early lead over Florida. After a decent first half, Texas A&M couldn't quite finish in response to a 13-2 run by the Gators. The Aggies move to 1-5 in SEC play, and look to bounce back this Saturday against Kansas State.

Texas A&M started out hot, but Florida finished much hotter.

The torrid-shooting Gators hit 11 of 15 attempts from 3-point land in the second half, including five in a decisive stretch that started midway through the second half, to deal the Aggies an 81-72 Southeastern Conference basketball defeat on Tuesday night in Gainesville.

The Aggies (7-10, 1-5) led by 13 at halftime, but could not withstand Florida’s 3-point barrage and suffered their third consecutive loss.
