Texas A&M storms back from deficit to topple Alabama, 65-56

No buzzer beater tonight. The Aggies used their home court advantage to bounce back from multiply double-digit deficits to defeat the Crimson Tide at Reed. With the victory, A&M completes the season sweep of Alabama and will continue SEC play at Arkansas on Saturday.

This time the Aggies didn’t need to rely on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to defeat Alabama.

Savion Flagg and Wendell Mitchell made sure of that.

Twice Texas A&M stormed back from double-digit deficits to stay in contention until Mitchell led a late offensive surge to clinch a 65-56 victory before 5,459 at Reed Arena on Tuesday night.

“A great win for us. I’m proud of our guys for fighting (when) down 10,” A&M coach Billy Kennedy said.
