Texas A&M prevails on Senior night, defeats Vanderbilt, 62-57

Saturday night was the final time in the 2018-2019 season that Texas A&M would play in the friendly confines at Reed Arena and the Ags didn't disappoint. The maroon and white knocked off Vanderbilt, 62-57, behind Savion Flagg and his 22 point effort.

Sometimes results can be anticipated. Sometimes expectations are met. Sometimes an outcome is predictable. Texas A&M’s 64-57 Southeastern Conference basketball victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday was not one of those times.

A win over the hapless Commodores wasn’t necessarily unexpected, but the way in which the Aggies’ Savion Flagg and Christian Mekowulu controlled play under the basket caught Texas A&M coach Billy Kennedy by surprise.
