30 Players in 30 Days: #12 — Leon O'Neal

Leon O'Neal has a chance to be the first elite defensive back of the Jimbo Fisher era. The young safety has all the tools and talent to become not only a hard-hitter but a turnover machine for the Aggie defense. The future of the A&M secondary is player #12 in our list of 30 this fall.

Notes from McGee’s thoughts on O’Neal

  • I always say this about safeties: I love safeties that are around the ball. It’s just a knack when the ball is there. It’s hard to put your finger on one thing that leads to that. You know they’ve got to play the ball and be a good tackler. Think about guys like Ronnie Lott.
