Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher on Tuesday night confirmed rumors that freshman tight end Baylor Cupp will miss significant time because of a leg injury sustained in a scrimmage.

The four-star rated recruit, who was considered the nation’s top tight end prospect by many scouts, suffered an injury to his left leg that required surgery on Tuesday morning.

“Baylor will be out for a while,” Fisher said following the Aggies’ practice session.
