Surprising but expected: Freshman Kenyon Green threatening to start

After almost two weeks of fall practices, true freshman Kenyon Green could very well be starting on the offensive line when the Aggies open their season vs. Texas State. The only thing that would be surprising is how quickly Green will have earned the honor.

The day offensive linemen Kenyon Green signed with Texas A&M, it seemed like it was just a matter of time before he cracked the starting lineup.

That time span was only about a week.

By the seventh practice of August camp, Green, who was recruited as a tackle, was working with the first unit at right guard. He’ll likely remain in the starting lineup when the Aggies open the season on Aug. 29 against Texas State and for the next three seasons.
