Ags falter late, drop 38-31 home decision to Mizzou

It's become a familiar story: Texas A&M takes a double-digit lead into halftime and squanders it. The No. 16 Aggies made Missouri the latest beneficiary on Saturday, allowing 284 rushing yards in the defeat.

COLLEGE STATION — With barely two minutes left in Saturday's game, on a fourth and one that followed after a third down stop, the crowd held its breath. James Franklin took the snap and rolled left on an option, pitching to Henry Josey as he was hit. The back, who had gashed the Aggie D all day, sprinted down the sideline for an easy first down.

Then a flag came out.

It was not the first crazy moment in Missouri's 38-31 win, nor would it be the last.
