Aggies focused on correcting mistakes against Lamar

The No. 16 Texas A&M football team is eager to get back in the win column after a loss to the Clemson Tigers. In a game in which the Aggies are expected to dominate, look for the team to try to clean up their play on both sides of the ball.

Jimbo Fisher always tells his No. 16 ranked Texas A&M football team to enter each game against a “nameless, faceless opponent.”

That shouldn’t be a problem on Saturday. Lamar, which the Aggies (1-1) face at 6 p.m. at Kyle Field, fits the nameless, faceless role perfectly.

The visiting Cardinals have posted two victories and reached the FCS playoffs last season. But few outside of Beaumont might be able to name a player in Lamar’s starting lineup.
