Aggies focused on improving fundamentals, mental toughness during bye week

Jimbo Fisher and the A&M football team will look to get back to the basics during the bye week as they prepare for a clash with the top-ranked team in the country. The Aggies have struggled on both sides of the ball at times through their 3-2 start to the 2019 season.

For Texas A&M’s football team to become extraordinary, the Aggies must first be ordinary.

That was the message A&M coach Jimbo Fisher delivered on Monday during this weekly press conference.

Scores of A&M fans have taken to message boards to express frustration over the Aggies worrisome 31-27 victory over lowly Arkansas on Saturday.

Fisher maintained that the Aggies (3-2) could still be an exceptional team.
