During Monday’s press conference, Mike Sherman painted an interesting picture to the assembled media. As he’s done in the past, he likened the game of football to a boxing match. This time, he went on to explain that the game is, in fact, a series of one-on-one matchups taking place on each and every snap. Based on what I heard from Bob Stoops’ inner circle following his team’s 33-19 loss last year at Kyle Field, the veteran Sooner coach feels the same way.
