'Make your own breaks': Fisher won't divert focus from what Aggies can control

The referees are a common scapegoat amongst losing teams, however, Saturday's game was littered with controversial calls and non-calls. Jimbo Fisher didn't blame the officials in his post-game press conference, but some of the missed calls would have helped the Aggies.

ATHENS, Ga. — A losing team’s last-gasp of futility is blaming game officials. It’s easy. It’s convenient. It absolves a team of its own mistakes.

So give Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher credit for resisting the urge. Fisher wouldn’t blame referees for the Aggies’ 19-13 Southeastern Conference football loss to No. 4 Georgia on Saturday.
