For commissioners, Playoff expansion has become an open conversation

Larry Scott knows that a lot of people expect him be on the front lines of the fight to expand the College Football Playoff. He knows he could (and maybe should) be the face of this because, once again, none of his league’s teams will get a chance to play for a national championship this postseason.

“I completely get that,” the Pac-12 commissioner told a small group of reporters on Thursday.

The Pac-12 has been left out of the four-team Playoff more years than not.
