Aggies run Liberty out of Reed in season opener, 81-59

No. 20 A&M hit the court for the first time on Wednesday night, playing in the first round of the 2K Sports Classic. Three Ags scored in double-digits to lead an easy win in the new coaching staff's official debut.

COLLEGE STATION — Aggie basketball fans held their breath during the offseason, pining to see the product of coach Billy Kennedy's new system. For the first nine minutes, it looked all too familiar ... and from there, it was everything one could hope for.

While Kennedy continued to recover from his diagnosis of an early form of Parkinson's, assistant head coach Glynn Cyprien took over duties for the season opener, part of the first round of the 2K Sports Classic.
