Aggie basketball unable to close out LSU despite season-high 14 threes

In a game where Texas A&M hit more threes than in any other game this season, LSU was able to control the first half and close out the game in overtime. Buzz Williams commended the effort of his team but acknowledged that mistakes must be limited in the future.

Through more than 38 minutes Texas A&M appeared to have remedied the turnover bug that’s afflicted the Aggies much of this basketball season.

When it mattered most, though, the Aggies (8-7, 2-2) suffered an untimely relapse.

Two crushing miscues in the final 90 seconds opened the door for LSU (12-4, 4-0) to force overtime and ultimately topple the Aggies, 89-85, on Tuesday night at Reed Arena.

Josh Nebo scored 20 points and had 9 rebounds to pace the Aggies.
