• My freshman at Southwest Texas State — now Texas State University — Dan Gillaspia was a suite-mate of mine. He was a walk-on and eventually rose to be a starter, and eventually a team captain, I believe. The story of Cullen Gillaspia was probably rooted in Dan's climb up the ladder as well. We had some great times.
