Monday brought some lamentations when there should be celebrations.

That’s not to imply the freshman receiver Shadrach Banks’ decision to enter the transfer portal doesn’t hurt. It does. Leave spin jobs like that to the bovine boys.

Banks was a heralded recruit. You don’t want to lose players of his caliber. He brought talent to College Station.

But don’t lament his decision to leave. Celebrate the Aggies’ response.
