• Heading into Saturday's SEC-opener, anyone who has watched the Aggies in 2021 knew that Mike Elko's defense was going to have to do most of the heavy lifting at Jerryworld. Knocking off Arkansas to remain unbeaten was going to require four quarters of hard-nosed, physical defense, setting the tone early and getting after 255-pound quarterback KJ Jefferson when he dropped back to throw.
