In the last week, A&M hung 17 runs on Kentucky in a dominant series-winning game and beat off Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on the road. After week eight of the season, the TexAgs baseball coverage team tries to answer the questions facing Jim Schlossnagle's club.

What gives you the most optimism about this team going forward?

Ryan Brauninger: Probably the depth of the starting nine. The bench doesn’t have much, but once they get Werner back, I like the everyday guys they’ll run out there.

Richard Zane: The continued production at the plate. It doesn’t seem like this team is going to win many pitchers’ duels, but the offense seems to be capable of scoring against anybody on any day.
