I’ve been able to watch some practice and a pair of intrasquad scrimmages in the last few days, so I figured I’d jot down some notes as we are just 17 days away from the opener…

• I feel very good about where Nathan Dettmer is at entering the season. He has made noticeable gains in strength and velocity to go along with an improved sense of confidence. It really can’t be understated how important that start against Notre Dame was in Omaha for his mental game.
