QB Conner Weigman: Since elevating to the starting lineup midway through last season, Weigman has shown why he was a five-star prospect. A week ago against New Mexico, the sophomore completed 18 of 23 passes for 236 yards and five touchdowns. That has raised his all-time total as a starter to 1,041 passing yards and 13 touchdowns with zero interceptions.

Also, he isn’t necessarily looking to run but is an effective rusher.
