In today's era of social media, crystal balls and recruiting projections, it is becoming rare that a prospect can truly shock the industry with a surprise commitment. Still, as Texas A&M's two most recent pledges exhibit, Jimbo Fisher and his staff certainly know how to pull them off.

These days, commitment mysteries seem to be few and far between.

In the age of social media crystal balls, future casts and whatever else out there, there is often a pretty good indication of where a prospect will choose.

However, sometimes, things are different. Sometimes, there are surprises.

For Texas A&M, the last two commitments — Clear Springs OL Blake Ivy‍ and Lafayette (LA) Acadiana DL Dominick McKinley‍ — are pretty good examples.
