On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as football beat Mississippi State and head coach Jimbo Fisher was fired, along with updates from hoops, volleyball, soccer and more.

Football
Following a dazzling performance by Jaylen Henderson at quarterback, defeating Mississippi State 51-10, Jimbo Fisher was fired at Texas A&M. Fisher finishes his tenure in Aggieland with a record of 45-25.

Men’s basketball
No. 15 A&M claimed an early Quadrant 1 victory in Columbus after holding off Ohio State on Friday, 73-66. Shooting 43 percent, Wade Taylor IV and Tyrece Radford scored 21 apiece as the Aggies also made 16 shots from the foul line.

Next up, Texas A&M will take on SMU on Tuesday.

Women’s basketball
Now 2-0 to start the season, the Texas A&M women's basketball team cruised to a 74-55 victory over North Texas on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena. Sophomore forward Janiah Barker led the way with 18 points for the Maroon & White.

The Aggies have a big road test on Thursday when they travel to Purdue — an NCAA Tournament team a year ago.

Volleyball
Texas A&M fought back after dropping the first two sets in Columbia, but ultimately, Missouri got the best of Jamie Morrison's Aggies, 3-1. With the Tigers claiming the series, Texas A&M now sits at 15-8 and 7-6 SEC with four matches remaining in the 2023 season.

That next match will be in Lexington, Kentucky, to take on the Wildcats on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. CT.

Soccer
Thanks to Mia Pante's 22nd-minute goal, 8-seed Texas A&M defeated Colorado in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament at Ellis Field on Friday. With the 1-0 victory, the Aggies have earned a rematch with top-seeded Florida State next week in Tallahassee.
