With Texas A&M turning the page to a new chapter, Jimbo Fisher leaves the program in a much better position than his predecessor on the recruiting trail. Still room for improvement, Fisher deserves credit for transforming the Aggies into a major attraction for top prospects.

OK, not really.

That was probably a poor effort to introduce the theme of this week's recruiting article.

If I was as good a writer as Charles Dickens, I probably could have concocted a way to tie the above quote to the general idea I wanted to articulate — which was to examine the pros (of which there are far more of) and cons of Jimbo Fisher's time as a head coach from a recruiting lens.
