The Aggies seemed to be fighting an uphill battle all night after Memphis’ leading scorer David Jones jumped out to a quick start with 21 first-half points. He couldn’t miss, and a lot of his shots were contested.

On the other end, the Aggies shot 33 three-pointers and made only 18.2 percent. They were thrown off in the first half with a mid-court double team of Wade Taylor IV, and the offense never gained a rhythm from this tactic.
