2027 Dallas South Oak Cliff DL JD Jones‍ checks in at 6-foot-2 and 280 pounds, and he created quite a buzz this spring as the Golden Bears went to work.

Known for an especially active and stout defense, Jones made a name for himself as a dominant presence in the middle of the defensive line.

He sees Aaron Donald as a role model for his style of play, and he knows one aspect of his game has turned several heads.

“I make sure I get a punch,” Jones said.
