2024 SEC Spring Meetings: Tuesday takeaways from A&M, Texas & Alabama

The 2024 SEC Spring Meetings have begun, and on Tuesday, the media heard from A&M head coaches Mike Elko and Buzz Williams, as well as Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer. Olin Buchanan provided a recap from Destin.

DESTIN, Fla. — Come Nov. 30, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and Texas coach Steve Sarkisian may not agree to much.

They will agree, however, that their teams should be playing against each other.

The Aggies and Longhorns renew their rivalry on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field after a 13-year hiatus. Texas canceled the long-time series in 2012 when A&M left the Big 12 Conference to join the Southeastern Conference.

The series will resume because Texas is leaving the Big 12 to join the SEC.
