The best season in Texas Aggie baseball history came to an end on Monday one win short of a national championship.

Tennessee pitched, played great defense and got the timely hits that A&M just couldn't muster through the middle and late innings. A valiant effort — and really throughout the postseason — just wasn't enough to overcome a Volunteer team that put a ton of pressure on the Aggies for the 20 innings of the three-game set.
