More than once on Saturday evening and even into Sunday, an expression of exasperation was heard wherever I went in College Station.

“Same old stuff” — or something similar and not quite as G-rated — seemed to echo all around. I heard it outside Kyle Field. I heard it in the press box. I heard it at the gym. I heard it at the restaurant where I had lunch.

And if I had gotten up in time for church … well, I probably should have heard it there, too.
