On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the fall continues. Football added two transfers, volleyball prepares for the Sweet 16 for the first time in five years and much more.

Football
We had a couple of All-SEC nods.

First Team: DL Nic Scourton (Scourton was named to the Walter Camp All-America Second Team)
Second Team: RB Le’Veon Moss and DB Will Lee III
Third Team: OL Trey Zuhn III and DL Shemar Stewart
Freshman Team: P Tyler White

Texas A&M Athletics is set to be represented by 47 student-athletes that will be honored at fall commencement ceremonies December 12-13 at Reed Arena.

The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, and the Aggies have added not one but two additions through the portal.

  • UAB QB Jacob Zeno
  • Auburn TE Micah Riley

The Aggies are up to 19 transfer departures.

Men’s Basketball
No. 17 Texas A&M looks to continue its non-conference win streak, trying to get it to five, heading on the road to No. 11 Purdue on Saturday. That is a neutral site 11 a.m. tip in Indianapolis.

Women’s Basketball
The Maroon & White are 5-5 with just two non-conference games remaining, the next being Texas Southern on Monday at Reed Arena at 7 p.m.

SEC play begins on Jan. 2 with Tennessee.

Volleyball
Texas A&M volleyball is in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019, and the Aggies will take on No. 2 seed Wisconsin in Lincoln on Friday evening at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

Five SEC teams were in the Sweet 16. Kentucky beat Missouri last night, but there were five teams in the Sweet 16: MIZ, UK, Texas, A&M and Florida.

If the Aggies are able to take down the Badgers, it would be the first time since 2001 A&M has appeared in the Elite 8, and they would face the winner of Nebraska/Dayton on Sunday at 2 p.m.
