On Friday night in McKinney, the Carthage Bulldogs and Brock Eagles faced off to punch a ticket to the 4A Division II state championship game. On a wet, cold night at McKinney ISD Stadium, the Bulldogs got off to a rocky start. However, the Carthage defense stood tall, the offense found its footing, and the Bulldogs pulled away for the 45-17 win over the Eagles.
