It’s no coincidence college football powerbrokers finally approved a playoff after two SEC teams played for the national championship.

They don’t want all that BCS title game money to stay in one conference. Since the same suits that for years fought a playoff system have suddenly embraced one, don’t expect to see two SEC teams squaring off for the national title.

There probably will be one SEC team there, though.
