2024-25 Aggies are proving to be a once-in-a-decade team at Texas A&M

Texas A&M has gone dancing just 16 times in the NCAA Tournament's 85-year history, and the Aggies have only been one of the final 16 teams on six different occasions. In 2024-25, Buzz Williams & Co. have positioned themselves to join those ranks and possibly soar even higher.

The 2024-25 Texas A&M basketball team is a once-in-a-decade team.

In the 113-year history of the program and 85 years of the NCAA Tournaments, only 16 Aggie teams have gone dancing.

The NCAA Tournament started in 1939 with eight teams, grew to 16 teams in 1951, doubled to 32 in 1975, featured 48 teams for a few seasons, expanded to 64 size in 1985 and added the First Four in 2011 for the current 68-team field.
